Second AussieShave.com Blade

So, I have just changed by second Aussieshave.com blade for the third. However, when I was about to shave, I realised I left the razor in my suitcase- quite unreachable. ...But more about that a bit later.

The second razor cartridge continued the scratchy feeling I experienced with the first blade. It never seemed to give a bad shave, just one that seemed to scratch my skin. Again, the scratching feeling wasn't necessarily bad, it just made it feel like the blade wasn't very sharp. It guess it was sharp enough because the end result was certainly satisfactory.

I have been using Aussieshave.com blades for many weeks now, so I should have the slightly different way of shaving down pat by now. Remember that Bruce, the aussieshave.com representative, said it took a couple of weeks getting used to the new blades. Well, Bruce, it has been a while now. I still have the nicks and bloodshed with the second blade that I experienced with the first. Is the blade not particularly sharp? Is my shaving technique still remarkable poor after this time? Who knows?

While using the second cartridge, I received my second months delivery of blades. This was poor timing and planning on my behalf. I had sent an email cancelling my subscription but it was after the 1st of the month-cut off time for cancellation. So, I have a fresh batch of blades. I must remember to follow up my cancellation to make sure I don't receive any more (I have so many other companies to try out first!).

What I do know is that I had the unexpected experience of comparing my Aussieshave.com experience with my old blade... and the results may surprise you. They certainly cemented my thinking.....

  1. I use www.aussieshave.com blades and find they shave much closer than other cheap razors online. I used to use a Gillette but now use the $9 supreme blade. I think it shaves much closer so I have to be gentle but it is a good quality product. Maybe you were using the $1 blade? It was better than www.dollarshaveclub.com

    1. Hey, thanks for your comment. I was definately using the Supreme blade. Perhaps I just got a bad batch? Certainly a possibility.
