As you know, the Schick hadn't been completely disregarded. The Aussieshave.com razor failed to adequately shave the bit just under my nose, so I used the Schick to "tidy up" occasionally. Not often, just occasionally.
It had been a good month ... no, over a month... since I did a complete shave with my old Schick. I reached for the Shaving Milk and applied to my face, a little apprehensive on how the Schick will go. In the dim, dark reaches of my mind, I seemed to think the Schick blades needed changing but since that was a distant memory (at least last month), I could not be sure. Therefore, with some trepidation, I brought the Schick blades across my face.
It was awesome.
A smooth, clean experience with no displeasure. It slid effortlessly around my face, almost like it knew my facial dips and bumps better than me. Sound almost romantic? THAT is how good it felt. Like a pair of slippers you thought you had lost and you find them again. The shave experience was outstanding and the shave quality was of a standard I have been missing for over a month.
So, sadly, with a simple, singular shave, my Aussieshave.com experience will end immediately and I shall try a different company. I will write a wrap up commentary about Aussieshave.com (including the cancellation experience) before moving onto another shave-by-subscription company.
So, my readers, which company do you think I should try next? I look forward to your comments.
