Cancellation
The cancellation experience went okay. At about mid-month, I emailed "Bruce" to cancel my order. A couple of weeks later, I thought I would check they received the cancellation as I had not heard from them. Sure enough, their original reply to the cancellation had fallen foul of the Internet and was lost into the ether. It happens. Bruce replied politely and apologetically to me about my follow-up email. I expect to receive no further blades from AussieShave.com
The Aussieshave.com shave experience
It is probably no surprise that I ended up not enjoying the shave experience with the AussieShave.com blades. The scratching of the face caused some minor pre-shave anxiety and the inability of the trim blade to adequately ... trim... was “Game Over” for the blade. I persisted for several weeks and through several cartridges but just could not continue after that one-off Schick reminder shave :-)
Conclusion
While I was pleased to start my razor subscription experience with an 100% Australian company, I sadly cannot say I would return to their product. However, I will make it very clear that I only used one of the company's three razor products. Therefore, what I am saying is that I would not return to the Supreme blade. The "Triple X" or the "Simple Bloke" may provide a very different experience. Moreover, above all, I wish AussieShave.com well for their business :-)
My next subscription shave
...will be where the subscription shave action really started- with Mike, Alejandro and a random dancing bear; Dollarshaveclub.com
