Razorworld has a point of difference, compared to the other subscription brands I have used so far. These guys are not "subscription"- they are pay as you order. While the other guys want you to continually receive blades from them (and that is a powerful business model!), Razorworld provides a more conventional mail-order service. I am pleased there are different approaches out there- it means better options for more people.
I have now used two of the four RazorWorld cartridges. Increasingly, I found myself becoming more and more annoyed by the razors. The specifics escape me, but - for me- the lack of a trimming blade is certainly a big error. As these two weeks have passed, and my disillusionment with the blades has increased, I found myself revisiting my original RazorWorld blogpost to see what had changed.
Oddly, nothing seemed to have changed. The first day shave (both weeks) was always great. It appears that subsequent shaves were the problem. As I stated way back when I started this blog, I don't have thick facial hair, yet these blades only just get through a week of work. By the end of the week, I can feel the "drag" of the less-than-sharp blades.

It is more than just that. As I said, the lack of a trimming blade is a mistake on the manufacturer's behalf (in my opinion). Additionally, the fact the handle feels like a plastic imitation of a razor. And here's the kicker- the "button" to change the cartridge comes off if you apply a little too much pressure. I stress that this does NOT break the device but the first time I did it I was rather surprised.

| Deconstruction of the razor |
Am I saying they give a poor shave? Absolutely not! Indeed, while I have decided not to daily shave with my remaining two cartridges, I am going to put them into my really cool BadHairBoy Wet Pack for use when I travel. What I am saying is that I was really disappointing that I paid more for these blades (than any of the other monthly blades) and received what I believe is an ... adequate shave from a product that seemed to have less features than others on the market.
I guess it is the cost-benefit balance that has really hit me with this purchase. AussieShave, DollarShaveClub(Aust) and BayHairBoy acknowledged my "awesomeness" in purchasing their products, thereby personalising the interaction to a point. Then (in regard to shavers), provided a better speced product- for less.
So, RazorWorld will provide me with the occasional shave when I travel but for daily use, I think they are overpriced for an unremarkable product.
